Sukkari is a variety of dates originating from Saudi Arabia, highly appreciated for its delicate, almost fondant texture, and for its intense sweetness, with notes of golden caramel and honey.

Unlike other denser or drier dates, Sukkari are airy, fluffy and melt-in-your-mouth. They have a light, golden-yellow hue and an instantly recognizable taste – bright, round and generous. They are harvested when they reach the ideal point of ripeness, and to preserve their freshness and fragility, they are transported refrigerated until delivery. They are among the most popular fresh dates in Arab countries.

Saudi Arabia

Our partner farm in Saudi Arabia is located in the picturesque Al Ghat region, approximately 200 kilometers northwest of the vibrant capital Riyadh. Al Ghat offers ideal conditions for growing dates, with hot summers and mild winters.

The farm is a pioneer of organic farming in Saudi Arabia and was one of the first farms in the country to receive EU organic certification. Our Saudi farmer attaches great importance to environmental protection and the conservation of natural resources and has decided not to use chemical fertilizers or pesticides.

Many different varieties of dates are grown on the farm. We currently source 9 of our date varieties from this Saudi partner farm.

Rich in easily digestible natural sugars (fructose and glucose), Sukkari dates provide a quick energy boost without making digestion difficult. They contain potassium, calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, vitamins A, C and B6, as well as antioxidants that support the immune system and contribute to skin regeneration.
